Mission Viejo

Not only is Mission Viejo one of the largest master planned communities in the United States but in 2007 it was named the safest city in the United States by the Morgan Quitno crime statistic survey (compiled from FBI data). It is located between Lake Forest, Laguna Niguel & Rancho Santa Margarita.

The city is known for its picturesque tree-lined neighborhoods in addition to Lake Mission Viejo, which is central to the city. Here, many residents enjoy boating, fishing, beach, picnic areas and summer concerts. There are about two parks per square mile and the city has three golf courses; The Mission Viejo Country Club, Casta del Sol Golf Course, and the Arroyo Trabuco Golf Club.

Although the city is primarily residential, there are a number of offices and businesses in addition to Mission Hospital and two Children’s Hospital of Orange County.

Mission Viejo encompasses two school districts – either Capistrano Unified or Saddleback Valley Unified. Saddleback College is also located within this wonderful city.
